Digital Capital Partners, a data center development company, hired C+K Architecture to transform this one time 9-story printing building to a state of the art data center on the south side of the central business district of Chicago. Along with the physical infrastructure enhancements it was quickly realized that the building needed a revitalized street entrance. Base building upgrades included an expanded lobby and waiting area adjacent to a new manned security office. The remodel increased the physical security of the building by separating the passenger elevator and building stairs from the building lobby. The back of the house infrastructure upgrades include a base building mechanical room,
remodeled men & women toilet facilities and a relocated & expanded janitorial area. The
remodel also reclaimed 1st floor direct access to the loading dock.
